Distressed and Pre-Waxed in 5 Colours

This is our best selling range of flooring and is one of the most authentic, aged flooring products on the market today. A truly superior range of solid and engineered oak floorboards.

Our range of 5 colours expands the interior design options

  • Boards are pre-finished ready to lay.
  • From cream to very dark oak, to compliment any interior decoration style.
  • Tongue and Groove boards in widths usually 160mm to 180mm
  • SPECIAL WIDE BOARDS up to 250mm are available to order
  • SOLID and ENGINEERED 20mm thick boards.
  • UNIQUE DISTRESSING PROCESS .The product undergoes various stages, in which the flooring is dipped into different liquid baths creating the unique colours.  The baths consist of various natural products that react to the tannic acid in the oak boards.  All oak boards have different levels of tannic acid and, therefore, the colour can vary from board to board.
  • Colouring  When delivered this product will never look the same as the sample board seen eg:
    • Antique will look dark brown but goes lighter in time and will eventually look very similar to the sample seen.
    • Nostalgic starts light and will go darker in time, this will be the same for all the grey colours.
    • Classic will go darker, depending on the finish.
    • Boardeaux, usually goes darker but could also stay the same.
  • Requires just one extra coat of wax and polishing after fitting.

Manor House

This is the ultimate in the JW Faulding range. If you want floor boards that look as though they have been down for centuries, then our Manor House, solid oak floorboards are the perfect solution.  These boards are dipped into different baths creating the unique colours.  The baths consist of various natural products which react to the tannic acid in the board.  All oak boards have different levels of tannic acid and, therefore, the colour can vary from board to board.

  • The surface is specially treated and distressed to simulate hundreds of years of wear and tear
  • Coarse edges and knots are hand finished to give a smooth worn surface
  • Up to 3m long boards x 20mm thick
  • 4 Colours
  • Although Manor House flooring is supplied in random widths, most are extra wide boards to add to the authenticity. Generally 250mm widths
  • The boards are ready grooved both sides, with a loose tongue and are ready for laying.
  • This flooring is ideal for restoration work, in old libraries, churches, manor houses or to add genuine traditional character to modern buildings
  • This flooring product is unique and although the colour will be similar to the sample/photograph supplied it will not be identical due to the various processes it undergoes and the reaction of the tannic acid to the individual board
